
The Finley FFA Chapter proudly represented River View High School at the Benton Franklin County Fair, held August 18-23, with members exhibiting livestock, small animals, agricultural mechanics, and educational displays. Students demonstrated hard work, dedication, and skill, earning numerous awards and recognition throughout the week.
In the lamb division,
Jordan Knighten received red ribbons in both market and fitting & showing, with Trevor Sibley purchasing his lamb.
Ava Teagle earned a blue in market and red in fitting & showing, with American Rock as her buyer.
Myles Gore earned a blue in market and red in fitting & showing, with Jim’s Pacific Garage purchasing his project.
In the steer division,
Brekkyn Ward earned a return blue in market class and was named Grand Champion FFA Fitting and Showing person, then won the large Animal Round Robin to be the overall FFA Showperson, with Farm to Market purchasing her steer.
Soren Miles received a red in market and a blue in fitting & showing, with Northwest Biological as buyer.
Trell Miles also earned a red in market and blue in fitting & showing, with Rosebud Vineyards purchasing.
Shyann Kriewald had a strong showing with blues in both market and fitting & showing, with KT Farms as buyer.
The swine division saw
Sage Kriewald earn a red in market and a blue in fitting & showing, with QKO Strength & Conditioning purchasing.
Victoria Sartain earned a return blue in market and a blue in fitting & showing, with Bejo Seeds as buyer.
Bryanna Denbow earned a blue in market class and a blue in fitting & showing class, with Five D Farms as buyer.
In the goat division,
Rayanne Curtis earned blues in both market and fitting & showing, with Dennis Waters purchasing her project.
Small animal exhibitors also found success, with
Jordan Knighten receiving Grand Champion and reserve champion for his ducks with a blue in fitting & showing having Professional Ag Services Inc. purchasing his duck. Jordan also earned Reserve Champion fryer for his market rabbit, best opposite of breed with his Dutch doe, and a blue in fitting showing as Steve Landscaster was his rabbit buyer.
Beyond animal projects, Finley FFA members showcased their knowledge and craftsmanship.
The chapter’s FFA Educational Display Booth earned 2nd place, while ag mechanics and wood shop projects earned various blue ribbons along with a Superintendent’s Award.
Finley FFA also excelled in herdsmanship, winning
1st place in both beef and lamb departments,
2nd place in poultry and goats, and
3rd place in rabbits and swine departments.
The chapter is proud of all its members for their commitment to excellence and thanks the many buyers, families, and community supporters who make these experiences possible. The week highlighted the dedication of Finley FFA students as they continue to grow as leaders and agriculturalists.
